I am happy to share that my 1993 best-seller Jumping the Broom: The African American Wedding Planner is going to be reborn. We are in the process of creating Jumping the Broom Today for contemporary Black couples, and we need your help.

We are looking for designers, vendors, venues, florists, counselors, couples and creators from the diaspora who can envision what contemporary Black weddings look like and who would like to submit their creations for consideration to be included in this new book. That means you!

If you are a designer, please send sketches, photographs, or other representations of your work. If you have a great wedding story that you'd like to share, we want to hear it. We’re looking for stories of Black love across all ages, genders and backgrounds.

Please share this initiative with people in your local and social communities as we are looking to amplify stories, insights, and resources from across the country and around the world.

Let’s work together.

Interested in working together? Fill out some info and we will be in touch shortly! We can't wait to hear from you!
